Photographers looking for a Netflix new series produced in part by Canon Australia. Tales by Light, a six-part series, follows five photographers as they work in rarely photographed remote areas.
The series follows Art Wolfe, a nature and cultural photographer, Darren Jew, a nature and underwater photographer, Krystle Wright, an adventure sports photographer, Richard I’Anson, a travel photographer, and Peter Eastway, a landscape photographer. While the series travels across the globe, the production work was completed in Australia.
Here some Instagram photo published by the photographers who work in this series:
Chasing Icarus X // @tomdedorlodot soars his paraglider towards Drifika Peak (6447m). I realise a lot of my imagery really doesn’t suit the platform of Instagram since my scale of athletes can disappear on the small screen. But this image is special to me because all I dreamt about was the opportunity to take flight once again over the Karakoram Range but with the beautiful afternoon light that would cast dramatic shadows. As a photographer, I always try to shoot full frame and I decided my ski goggles were in the way. I took them off and forgot about time and so after 5 hours with 50km/h winds in my face at altitude, I had wind burned my eyeballs. But it was worth it.
